This Chandelier Hibis pays tribute to an early example of a composite capital—the decorative, uppermost section of a column—from The Met collection. Originally from the temple of Amun at Hibis in Kharga Oasis, Egypt, the artwork combines papyrus and foxtail motifs still flecked with remnants of ancient paint. The glass elements on this reinterpretation reflect the vertical rhythm and botanical ornamentation on the original piece, blending Egyptian designs with refined contemporary craftsmanship.
